Jamie and Erica have been best friends since 6th grade, when they met at middle school in Boise, Idaho. They are both firstborn daughters (IYKYK), call each other “life partners” and validate each other’s every decision daily over Marco Polo.

They started Basic Bookish after spending too much time struggling to find the info they wanted. Hopping from one influencer’s socials to another, then to review sites, author pages, and publisher websites, the search was annoying, and the information was scattered. They soon realized they weren’t the only frustrated book nerds out there and decided to solve this dilemma for others, too. Jamie and Erica created Basic Bookish to give bookish besties like them a place to find in-depth series info, a release calendar, guides on what to read next, fan art, links to Bookstagram and BookTok influencer reviews, and cute merch. They’ve built an organized, one-stop shop for all your bookish needs!
